A New Year for Music Making

Happy New Year to all my readers!

I've taken the past week to reflect with excitement where I'm headed professionally. With all that reflection, I came up with one resolution.

That resolution is less thinking and more follow through. I have started a running list of projects and goals. It may eventually be posted here, but for now, I'll keep the list to myself and roll my sleeves up and get to work.

2010 was the year for me to realize the potential the internet holds for all of us creative folk (hence all the thinking of the past 6 months). I made my first real strides into twitter, and continue to develop wonderful new relationships everyday. Between blogging, the relationship building platform of twitter, and multiple social media outlets for content marketing, we all have opportunities waiting for us to seize.

What is your musical resolution for 2011?

I think mine is to practice more responsibly, and more enjoyably. To think consciously of what I gain by practicing in certain ways, and to try to enjoy the more repetitive exercises and scales. This year, more patience and persistence!

Sara - great resolution! By practicing efficiently, you can maximize your time and still have enough time left to get out and experience the world :)
